Registration is now open for the next contest!
Welcome to The Puzzler. Every week, there are 2 new puzzles related to my passion: math, logic, and thinking. The first puzzle will be The Puzzler Quik, meant for those who crave something fun-sized. The second puzzle will be The Puzzler Think, meant for those who love to ponder. The answers will be posted in next week’s column. Don’t forget to submit your answer for a potential shout-out in the next edition of the Puzzler.

The video should be enough!

Let’s say that I have a potato weighing a 100 grams which is 99% water. If the potato dries up to the point where it is 98% water, what is the weight of the potato?

Set up some equations and use Algebra!
This is a paradox so you have to think a little!

ANSWERS TO LAST WEEK’S PUZZLERS
Last Week's Puzzler Quik
Alec from Austin, Texas was the winner of this shout-out.
Here is an explanation:
Note that a 0 is only produced when 5 and 2 are multiplied together. Since there are more factors of 2 than 5, it is sufficient to find the number of factors of 5 in 1000!. We then have $$200+40+8+1=249.$$ Thus, there are 249 zeroes at the end of 1000!.
Last Week's Puzzler Think
This week’s shout out goes to Ana from Atlanta, Georgia! Kudos to her!
There was no best way to solve this problem. Basically, we can apply some casework and get the answer. Do note that the numbers have to be small, which makes our casework easy! Thus, the answer was 1+2+3 = 6.
